Leadership Execution and Development

While most workshops focus only on building new skills, IMPAQ's Accountability-Based® Workshops focus on achieving real business results. Our workshops utilize real workplace challenges and goals. This allows participants to not only walk away with a new set of skills, but to leave with solutions to real problems they are currently facing. IMPAQ consultants work to incorporate existing organization values into our accountability programs, offering a well-integrated development experience to all participants. Accountability-Based® Leadership - 3 to 6 day series

This unique development series develops managers into Accountable leaders and change agents in order to improve performance and achieve measurable business results that provide a return on investment.

Accountability-Based Leadership (ABL) is a customized leadership development series delivered over a six-month period. Participants learn processes and skills to develop future leaders and address non-performance. While most training programs emphasize case studies and role-playing, this series focuses on the managers' real workplace situations, tracks results and measures actual performance and behavior improvements at the end of the series. The typical assignment will include the following topics and deliverables, implemented over time:

Session 1: Preparing for Change

Fundamentals of accountable leadership and how to expand the role of managers to become leaders and change agents.

Session 2: Managers as Unified Team of Change Agents

Using Agreements for Excellence®, managers develop new habits of performance execution based on the need to achieve a new level of business results. Measurements are established to track performance execution, business results and effective relationships to support change.

Session 3: Accountability-Based Change Leadership

Managers learn accountability systems and tools for planning, communicating and implementing change throughout the organization to transform resistance into positive actions.

Session 4: Holding Each Other Accountable

Based on the changes made within the management team and with direct reports, managers learn the skills to effectively hold others accountable in a supportive manner when commitments and agreements are broken.

Session 5: Accountability-Based Performance Coaching

Managers learn the diagnostic skills, strategies and tools for coaching their direct reports when performance is either poor or marginalized. They also learn an Accountable orientation process for integrating new team members.

Session 6: Measure and Monitor Results

The return on investment (ROI) is tracked during each phase of ABL, and a summary business results is developed through measuring deliverables, execution and relationships. Then, a report is provided to executives on the measurable results of this development effort.

The Power of Personal Accountability - 1-day workshop

This interactive workshop develops leadership abilities for managers and individual contributors. This inspiring program reduces blame and increases people in taking initiative and ownership for customer service and business results. Participants leave this workshop inspired to raise their standards of performance and communication with specific action plans for achieving successful results. Holding Each Other Accountable - 1-day workshop

This interactive workshop addresses the most difficult accountability skill for managers and individual contributors alike. During this workshop, participants learn to create accountable agreements and delegation and hold others accountable in a supportive manner when those agreements are broken.   • Preparing for a difficult conversation
  • Communication and coaching skills for participating in difficult conversations

Accountability-Based Change Leadership - 1-day workshop

This interactive workshop provides leaders the strategy, skills and tools to plan, communicate, execute and evaluate change efforts. The focus is on effectively and rapidly implementing change that achieves desired outcomes regardless of the change and in a way that elicits support from those involved. Some of the outcomes you receive from this workshop include:

  • Effectively planning a change without over planning or analysis paralysis
  • Effectively communicating the change to address fears and resistance to change
  • Developing an effective execution plan for implementing change
  • Identifying the key habits necessary to sustain change

Accountability-Based Performance Coaching - 1-day workshop

This interactive workshop provides leaders with the strategy and skills to diagnose and respond to poor performance in the workplace. Using a diagnostic approach, leaders assess each direct reports level of performance, support needs and desires for acknowledgement as a means for targeting the most effective coaching approach. Some of the outcomes you receive from this workshop include:

  • Understand how to diagnose performance breakdowns in order to provide effective coaching
  • Diagnose the support needs for each person so that you know how to position your conversations to elicit the most acceptance of your feedback
  • Create a plan for orienting new employees so that you support them to be most successful

  • Developing a system of documentation to quickly coach individuals

Success Through Accountability for Managers and their Teams - Six 1-hour lessons

This unique self-learning system improves employee engagement and develops supervisors to facilitate meaningful meetings with their direct reports focused on improvement. In six 1-hour meetings, teams will assess their team accountability and then improve their teamwork, customer service and efficiency. In the sixth lesson, they report their measurable improvements and results. Some of the outcomes you receive from this workshop include:

  • Apply the Personal Accountability Model to commitment to actions for improvement and follow through
  • Develop a clear assessment of customer services
  • Establish agreements for improving customer service and improving efficiency
  • An on-going assessment of team accountability based on 10 different qualities
  • A special report of measurable improvements supporting organizational success
